Alion Energy Completes Black & Veatch Independent Assessment

Black & Veatch, an industry leading independent Engineering firm has completed an independent assessment of Alion Energy’s core mounting systems and automated cleaning solutions.  These detailed reports encompasses the Alion Energy StormTracker® single-axis tracker, our Alion Mounting System fixed-tilt solution and SPOT cleaning robots, including full engineering reviews of a wind study with CPP & RWDI Wind, corrosion analysis, long term lifecycle testing, and other qualifications.  Additionally, the study covers the supply chain, project execution and quality management capabilities of Alion Energy.

Overall, Black & Veatch found that Alion’s technology “provides benefits that typical post driven and other concentrated ballasted technologies cannot” including “installations where grounding penetrating or high pressure systems may not be applicable”.  Further, the report finds that Alion’s system is “designed using industry best practices and standards” for mounting structure, testing and quality management.
