Alion Energy Completes Black & Veatch Independent Assessment

Black & Veatch, an industry leading independent Engineering firm has completed an independent assessment of Alion Energy’s core mounting system and automated cleaning solutions.   The detailed report encompasses the fixed tilt Alion Mounting System and SPOT cleaning robots, including full engineering review of a wind study with CPP Wind, corrosion analysis, long term lifecycle testing, and other qualifications. Additionally, the study covers the supply chain, project execution and quality management capabilities of Alion.

Overall, Black & Veatch found that Alion’s technology “provides benefits that typical post driven and other concentrated ballasted technologies cannot” including “installations where grounding penetrating or high pressure systems may not be applicable”.  Further, the report finds that Alion’s system is “designed using industry best practices and standards” for mounting structure, testing and quality management.
